EU Member States Trusted Lists Scheme Type Community Rules: specific statement for Austria

Services included in the "Trusted List of supervised/accredited Certification Service Providers" are assessed against the Signature Act (Signaturgesetz - SigG, BGBl I 1999/190 in its current version) and the regulations issued on the basis of this Act, in particular the Signature Regulation 2008 (Signaturverordnung 2008 - SigV 2008, BGBl II 2008/3 in its current version). The Signature Act (http://www.ris.bka.gv.at/GeltendeFassung.wxe?Abfrage=Bundesnormen&Gesetzesnummer=10003685) and the Signature Regulation 2008 (http://www.ris.bka.gv.at/GeltendeFassung.wxe?Abfrage=Bundesnormen&Gesetzesnummer=20005618) are only available in German.

The Signature Act and the Signature Regulation 2008 only apply to certification service providers issuing qualified certificates or offering qualified time-stamping services. Therefore, the TSL implementation of the Trusted List contains TSL service entries only for relevant certification services offered by those certification service providers. Regarding certification service providers issuing qualified certificates, please refer to http://uri.etsi.org/TrstSvc/eSigDir-1999-93-EC-TrustedList/schemerules/common for a description of relevant scheme type/community/rules. A qualified time-stamp is a time-stamp (an electronic confirmation that certain electronic data have existed at a certain time) complying with the security requirements of the Signature Act and the regulations issued on the basis of this Act. TSL service entries for qualified time-stamping services contain the service type identifier http://uri.etsi.org/TrstSvc/Svctype/TSA. The corresponding X.509 certificate can be used for verifying authenticity and integrity of qualified time-stamps.
